Budir wedding dinner

We had booked Budir’s private dining room many months in advance, at their suggestion. I had a difficult time finding pictures of the room, even though it seems they do host a lot of parties there. So, I had some idea of what it would look like, but I wasn’t positive.

The room was accessible to us on Monday evening to check out. At the time it was set with chairs and a simple white table cloth, with little else. I did not bring any decorations for the room, and the staff did make it known that I should have (I felt some displeased looks when repeatedly asked about the decor once we arrived).

The view from the private room is wonderful and exactly what I was looking for. Our waitress/hostess put candles around the room and I set up my bouquet in a vase.

Peter and I both got changed before dinner. I think he was probably fine in his original outfit, but I was thoroughly muddied in my wedding dress.

He wore his boutonnière with his dinner jacket and I wore a dress from Reformation (it’s a rental). I also wore my mother’s blingy headband from her wedding, aww 😋

Dinner was prix fixe that we had selected before our arrival. The hotel made exceptions for anyone needing a vegetarian entree 🙌🏻🙌🏻.

We ordered the cauliflower tacos as the appetizer, the lamb entree, and an orange skyr cake for dessert. To be honest, I can’t remember what the veg option was, but the cauliflower tacos were delicious and the service at dinner was impeccable.

Cheers to a wedding day done exactly how we wanted it!

Love,

PD
