Accommodations

We understand that trekking out to Iceland is a big deal–probably once in a lifetime! This trip will definitely be special to us, and so we are staying in places that have been well researched and reviewed. Underlined are the hotels/airBnBs where we will be staying. We also suggest a nearby, cost-efficient option to where we are staying.

Pre-wedding

Reykjavik city center is marked by Ingolfur Square. If you want to be in the heart of the downtown shops and notorious nightlife, you’ll be looking at more expensive rates especially this time of year.

The Centerhotel Midgardur is reasonably priced and is on one of the main drags of Reykjavik.

Wedding

Hotel Budir

Hotel Budir is in the Snaefellsnes peninsula, about 2.5 hours northwest from Reykjavik. Peter and Danielle will be staying here the nights of June 24, and June 25. The wedding will take place on the hotel grounds on the morning of June 25, so it would be best to stay here or nearby on the night of the 24th.

Appx. $300/night, includes breakfast

Kast Guesthouse

The Kast Guesthouse is the next-closest hotel to our wedding ceremony location at Hotel Budir. Note that some rooms have a shared bathroom.

Appx. $180/night

Post-wedding

If you want to stay closer to the BSI Bus terminal that will take you directly to the airport,  you’ll want to stay between Midborg and Hlidar areas of Reykjavik.
